Duchesne County Building Regulations and Permits

Duchesne County Building Regulations and Permits

When looking to buy rural property, there are certain regulations you have to follow and permits you have to buy in order to build on the land. These are put in place to protect the county, state and the residents. Many even help protect the local wildlife, ecosystems and agriculture. Essentially we ask you to comply with these local laws to help create the best living space for everyone and protect our beautiful state.

We want to help make this process easier for you by making it clear what needs to be done before building on your new land. We also help by providing the driveway and building pad built according to county specifications. This is done as a free service when you buy land from us. If the driveway and pad aren’t already finished when you buy, we will offer a few free hours to have this done.

We also provide water rights for almost all of our properties as well. The only exceptions are for lots that are secluded far away in the mountains. But in all cases, water rights can be obtained from the county building. Where water rights are included in the purchase, the next step is to build the well.

As we have been working within Duchesne County for over 30 years, we have very good relationships with county officials and we would like to keep that reputation. So we will continue to do the right thing by teaching our clients the proper regulations and help to bring people to Duchesne County without harming this beautiful area.

Below are the most recent forms stating the required permits and regulations when building. Please be sure to follow these laws so we may further protect this area and also prevent fines for not complying. We love this area, we know you will too. So please work with us and the county to make this county a haven for all our families.
